  Girl With No Fear

Director

As a child, Bernardo made movies that were later shown to his friends for a token fee – with a toy projector. It seems that he always knew he would make films. However, he was first engaged –and for many years– in sharing his passion through Octaedro, a small movie theater he built in Quito, Ecuador, where people still remember that this is where they saw Satyricon or The Bycicle Thief for the first time.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in visual communication in the United States and a master’s degree in film in Norway. How Can I Forget You, his first feature, was theatrically released in Ecuador and commercially distributed in the United States and Canada. Predecessors to this movie were the short Good Girls Go Crazy and the documentary Carlos from 6 to 7, which was exhibited in Spain.

Girl With No Fear is his second feature and is based on his very own personal story.
